Bronte shows off her new hat at New Farm Park - this one has a tie under the chin...

Whoozat?

Bronte doesn't quite recognise Ava at first - she has changed quite a bit from her early days!

Yep - she now looks a lot like her Daddy.

Optimism

Bronte contemplates the meaning of it at GoMA

Then stops contemplating, and just gets cuddles instead. If you look closely, you may see the two front teeth peeking through.

The video evidence

Proof of mobility. The incentive - the forbidden grape.

7 months

At 7 months, Bronte can crawl!, eat toast, pull to stand on mum and dad, drink from sippy cup, ask to be picked up, indicate her likes and dislikes, and get herself into a sitting position from on her back. She also has two front teeth, and the cot has been lowered. Her favourite food is still rice cereal and pear, but she has tried salmon patties and spinach cannelloni among other things, and now has 3 meals a day.

Croquet anyone?

The CPRC christmas party was at the Auchenflower croquet club. Team Bronte narrowly lost 4-3 in a playoff - but we were somewhat affected by only being able to swing the mallet one handed.

The gang gets together!

It has been too long, but Bronte, Tadhg and Eve finally all caught up with each other.

3 Santas on the weekend. All produced tears.

2:30

Or tooth-hurty, in the classic joke terms. Bronte has some teeth coming through - as she keeps pointing out to us. They have made her the grizzliest she has ever been (which in real terms, is not that grizzly).

Library activities

On Wednesday's they have a babies sing and rhyme session at the local library. Lots of fun - and a bubble session to finish it off.

Getting there

Bronte has now taken two steps with her hands, and bunny hopped with her legs. You get the feeling the full crawl is just around the corner...

Lunch with Nanna

Went for a lovely lunch round at Cafe Fraiche.

Bronte has started pulling this face. We think it is hilarious - though hopefully not her permanent smile.

Hats are not for inside!

Bronte demonstrated to Grandma her skills in hat removal.

Father Bill

We interrupted Father Bill at his lunch today. He was very happy to meet Bronte, and demanded plenty of cuddles.

True Blue

Bronte tried vegemite for the first time today. Loved it. Only wish there was an aftermath shot.

The devastation at the back of Tadhg's house. Thankfully, no one hurt - but lots of clean up required.

Aftermath

Severe storms continue to batter Brisbane and our suburb of The Gap has been particularly affected. We have dodged numerous bullets so far, and have sustained no obvious damage, but another line of severe storms are predicted for Saturday.

Bronte has coped very well with the storms so far - but she is concerned about how long the rebuilding process will take.

The army has come to town.
