Bed snuggles

Teeth!

Two teeth have emerged! Zach constantly runs his tongue over them, bites his finger on them, and generally is intrigued by them. They have also caused him a bit of grief, but nothing that drinking from mum (all night), or cuddles with dad (all day) can't fix.

Cheers!

Chillin' out at frisbee

The mixed invitational was on at the local park, so we had a nice afternoon watching some great ultimate, and letting the kids run around, and around, and around.

Mr Safety said yes

If Mr Safety let Tadhg and Bronte ride their bikes down the driveway to crash into the gate, then who was I to argue?

Clapping!

Zach started clapping today! and also seems to recognise the word "clap" - grinning and clapping on command.

Supercute and crazy

Some awesome, and hilarious, dance moves out the front

Some stories

Dad hurt his shoulder so Bronte was checking it over with her medical kit. She used all the instruments and checked it out thoroughly. Later that night she asked:
"How is your shoulder dad?"
Dad: "You helped, but it is still a bit sore". To which Bronte replied:
"well, if it is still sore in the morning, maybe you should see a real doctor"

......

Bronte has been yelling out "Geezus" a few times. When quizzed on the origin of her saying this, she responded:

"It is what you say when you are driving and have to slow down so you don't run into the car in front of you"

Fairy

The weather has been unseasonably warm (33 today!) so we have set up the baby baths on the deck for a cool off.

Tooth troubles

No teeth have broken through, but Zach was certainly feeling something the last few days.

Garden party

Today was Matilda's birthday party - theme of "something from the garden". Apparently, there are a lot of fairies in the garden.

The coolest party we have been invited to

Sharing

Both Bronte and Zach love Woody and Jess, though Buzz remains the favourite for Zach.

7 months - off, off and away!

This was a HUGE month in Zach world. Movement has begun, with a strangely effective commando, bunny hop style of crawling. He can also transition from lying to sitting, back to lying again. Zach eats any food you put in front of him, and protests loudly if you try and take any food off him. His vocabulary has also rapidly expanded from saying mumma last month to "b", "b" (while looking at Bronte), "yah" for Dad, and lots of general "blah" sounds to let us know how his world is going. Sleep is not great at night (up every 1-2 hours), but it is easy to forgive him with the smile he wakes you up with. Zach knows his name, and "no" (as in nooo - don't chew the power cords), and reaches out to be picked up / cuddled.

3 years, 4 month

"Tell me a story!" Bronte has been testing our imagination this month as she requests stories several times a day. Fairytales have been adapted, and memories have been searched. The catchphrases continue including "sometimes that happens", and her sense of comic timing is perfect.

All fours

Though he moves by commando crawling, Zach is practicing for the real thing. So far lots of rocking back and forth, but no forward motion.

Morning trip to Emerald

Mum had to give a talk out at Emerald - about 900km north-west - flight departed 5:45am, and back at 11:00am! The flight, on a twin propellor plane through gale force winds was suprisingly ok. A huge thanks to the grandparents for helping us out on what was a long day.

Farewell to a legend

Tony, through a good friend, got to go and see the last regular season game by an NRL legend.

5 girls and a boy

Steam train Sunday

Once a month the coal gets lit, and the steam train whistle blows for a tour around town. It was a very fun fathers day thing to do, and Nanna even came out to the station to wave hello as we chugged past.

Zach makes sure Bronte is safe on her seat.

Thank goodness for grandparents

The value of family support is immeasurable.

More beef cheek pie please!

Put food on table - zach grabs for food, puts straight into mouth. Today was beef cheek pie, a hit. But then again, everything seems to be a hit so far. He is one of THOSE babies.

The next generation

With Ava watching ABC iview on the ipad. Along with facetime, and all the other things Bronte manages so easily, this really is a techie generation.

Where's Zachie?

Zach loves pulling blankets over his face and playing peek-a-boo - hilarious!
