Don't run away - just suck it up

Bronte's advice to her father on his impeding visit to the dentist.

Fillet O'fish

Helping Dad prepare the whiting.

Out of the egg wash and into the crumbs.

Pat it down then onto the pile.

Bronte ate 7 of these.

First story

This is Bronte's first story as told last night.

"Once upon a time there was a yoghurt stick. I shook it around and around and a whale came out. The whale then went to the shops in the city. The whale brought chippies."

Helping clean

Mum's boss was up from Melbourne and staying over and seeing the reno for the first time so time and effort was spent in cleaning up. Bronte was not super helpful on this occasion...

Super cute

At least - we think so!

Golf attire

Gumboots are just the thing for a very green course

Bronte had a great time with Emily driving the "tractor" and did not want to come home. A good option for when the boy arrives.

Granddad time

One of the many commands to granddad is "read me a book" which of course granddad complies with

A pretty nice backyard

It is pretty nice to be able to walk to the golf course for a putt and a roll

Coochimudlo

The work friends went over to Coochimudlo island - a perfect spot for kids. Bronte was the bravest she has been yet - floating out beyond where she could touch the bottom, and kicking and paddling.

Some quiet time with Amelia

Sneaking in a chocolate milk away from the dietician...

2 and a half - why?

This month the big question has started - WHY? It is going to be a long few years. She has also developed the phrase "what have you got for me?" for snacks on the way home from school. Speaking of eating, it is disappearing into her tummy like never before as she continues to shoot up. The singing is more tuneful, the counting goes to 20 (skipping 13), and she has put herself to sleep a few times. She has chucked a few massive tantrums, mainly due to lack of sleep, but overall has been delightful. The third (and 2nd last tooth!) is coming through, but no interest in toilet training yet (though very interested in all her friends who are at that stage). She is very good with her upcoming brother, giving lots of kisses and attention.

Funny face

An updated version of funny face

Superhero

It was Sam's birthday, and a superhero theme. But fairies are superheros, aren't they?

5 year olds are a bit older the 2.5 year olds, especially tired ones. Bronte was a bit of a grump, but the party itself was great fun.

Painting with daddy

We should probably take black out as a colour option, as every painting at the moment is ending up very dark

Pat a cake

Montage of mischief. Bronte was a very good helper making the lemon slice - miixing the flour and pressing into the tin, helping with the beater... But when mum was taking too long squeezing the lemon juice she decided to start yelling into the bowl. And this is where it all went a little wrong...

But, the slice was still delicious :-]

Testing the waters

Dipping in the pool at Connor's birthday party. It was a trifle chilly, and Bronte (and mum) didn't make it past the first step.

Recovery

Southbank for a recovery swim. But still no recovery sleep for the afternoon.
