Sleeping in the trailer

The roloblox make for many wonderful pull-along toys - but are particularly useful for a trailer bed for sleeping teddies and sleeping brothers.

Not sunscreen; sudocream.

Zach has now a nappy-rash free face, after smearing bottom cream liberally over it. He was just so proud of himself. I would like to think he was thinking it was sunscreen.

Tea party

Zach made a lovely tea party this afternoon - feeding Sam (the baby doll) and mum lot of tea with milk and a biscuit.

Present picking

The K&K catelogue has been studies intensely. Zach wants a new baby doll - even though we have several in the house. Bronte wants a tinkerbell outfit and a princess tent. Their mother wants neither of those things bought for them for Christmas presents please!

Prep experience day

With nervous waves and a tear in the eye, I gathered with the other parents to see Bronte off for her Prep experience morning. As anticipated, she was fairly shy at the start, needing the guideance of a teacher's hand. But hey - she still needs a teacher's hand at kindy every morning, so that was expected. What was wonderful to see was the big smile on her face as she came back from the 2-hour experience. And - she completed the task of the day (draw a picture and write your name). Participating in activities has been a bit of an issue at kindy lately - so Bronte doing this in a strange environment was very exciting.

Bronte is behind the mums in the top photo, and behind other kids in the bottom. But in summary - sad and shy in top picture, happy and excited in bottom!

Check out this cake!

It was Connor's birthday this weekend. Connor is one of those kids that knows every make and model of every car. So - appropriately, it was a car cake - and what a cake it was! Formal, planned games were abandoned as the kids were having just too much fun.

Big Sky 12

Tony and I help to run the Big Sky tournament. Now in its 4th year, it helps raise funds for our friends in their battle with motor neuron disease. This year, for the first time, it was a wet one. But - luckily Henry was there to play with, and mud was there to be stomped on. Big thanks to Grandma and Granddad for babysitting and allowing us to play. The kids were amazing - with hard playing from 7:30am till 9pm, with only a 50 minute sleep (for Zach) in the middle.

Cousins at play

A hectic day of driving this Friday - with a fair amount of fun in between. While Tony and I were at the test cricket, Aunty Catriona looked after B & Z - getting them to feed the chickens and the guinea pigs. After some round-a-bout trips (including picking me up, going to Nanna's, going to the wrong fields), we made our way out to watch cousin Annika be a softball star - playing pitcher, catcher, and doing a sacrifice hit. I think I chose wisely having Fridays off - I loved going and supporting the school sport.

This photo is very exciting, because it is the first time that Bronte self-swung! Finally, the art of legs up, legs down. A necessary skill for a big sister.
