What's brown and sticky?

Well, a stick of course. And William and Bronte were more interested in them than the wallabies at Walkabout Creek. They were also very interested in a milkshake!

Brunch

Kate was up from Melbourne - lovely to see her and Ava again. This is a rare Ava-free moment at Sassafras.

Little red car

This was Bronte's first trip in her inherited red car. She absolutely loves it, and get herself in and out and honks the horn - but is not quite big enough to drive yet.

13 months

Big changes this month for Bronte with Dad going back to work, and Bronte starting childcare. But - she has faced it all with enthusiasm, and has fitted into childcare very well. She loves climbing - particularly climbing onto chairs, and is currently refusing to hop in the bath (which she formerly loved), preferring instead to stand outside the bath and splash the water. She took her first step this month - and we continue to think it is very close -but she just doesn't need to walk yet. She can now recognise shapes (circle, triangle, square, star) - as well as several animals / objects around the house. Perhaps the biggest excitement this month came with the word "mum".

I scream, you scream

Bronte's first taste of icecream. She ate half of it (got stuck with the paddlepop stick).

Grub in the park

Double park day - first Samford, then Dorrington with Will, Jack and Eve.

Horse!

Out at Samford, Bronte got her first pat of a horse.

Almost there...

Bronte took her first step by herself on Friday - but is now pretty competent at one-handed walking.

The pride of Brisbane Town

Bronte's first footy game. Unfortunately, the Lions couldn't quite get there, going down 112-106 against Carlton. But she did get to experience the Gabba hotdog, and chug down a cold one.

Working over the figures

We have built in under the house to create a great new rumpus area for Bronte.
