Rocking it hard

I know what you are thinking...

After all, I knew your father

Entertaining the boy

Big giggles as Nanna and big sister entertained the boy. It was pretty special to watch. Both Bronte and Zach love having their Nanna stay the night - so Nanna, no excuses...

When the Robertsons come to visit

There are cuddles all round

Rock chick

"Thanks" Poon-Ryans for the microphone and skirt - Bronte loves them, and at least there is a "quieter" option on the microphone ;-]

Kanga food

The annual pass renewed, we headed out to Lone Pine with Will and Olivia. Six bags of food later, and the kangaroos were still hungry!

What are you looking at?

Been here, done that

Today, the fifth stranger commented, upon looking at Zach, "he has been here before". Not sure what to make of that, but certainly Zachary seems to know what to do, and is pretty relaxed about being in the world.

Dinner time

Tonight, as per usual, Zach laughed and talked to Bronte throughout dinner time. He loves his sister very much - and she him. It is very gorgeous to see, and if I can ever work out how to convert the HD video into blogging format, I will post the matching footage.

Dummy

Zach likes a dummy. Which is hard for his mother to get her head around, as Bronte was not a fan. But sit down in the rocking chair, put the dummy in his mouth, and bang - off he goes to sleep. Magic.

Another creek - another party

Back to the Chase creek for Ben's 3rd birthday party. Bronte was the only girl - but she still had a great time.

Hanging out at Nanna's

We are so lucky to be able to visit Nanna on Fridays. After 6 kids, 10 grandkids, and 2 great grandkids - she knows what to do with a bub and a 3 year old.

Bronte making herself cosy on Nanna's couch

Not a baby anymore

The bassinet is gone - Zach is now a big boy, sleeping in his cot, and facing forward in the pram.

Watching, waiting

Sometime soon, it will be two to push

On the sauce

Unlike his sister, Zach would happily take the bottle over the breast. But, he is a bit of a guzzler, and tends to throw it all back up again - which is a bit of a waste of expressing time!

The after party

Wind down from a fabulous fun morning

The party!

The day of the jungle party had finally arrived!

Mum is pretty proud of this cake - perhaps there is at least one creative bone in there!

Nobody refused to "pass the parcel" so the game was a success!

Cousin Annika was extremely helpful, painting faces (even Zach's!) and helping out in general

Downstairs to the Jungle with a zebra and giraffe

Finishing off the party with some dancing to "mamma mia"

3 months

Today Zach rolled over! he was a bit confused about what to do then, but was pretty proud of himself. This month he has also really started laughing - especially at Bronte - and his head is now pretty stable. He remains a very easy baby - likes a routine (bath at 6pm mum!), loves people talking to him while in the bouncy, and sleeps pretty well. We have even managed to put him down for sleeps in the day! (unlike Bronte). He is now up to 5.9kg - but growing longer at an even faster rate.

cake making

Bronte helped mum make the cake for the party. She helped clean up the leftovers as well!

Bronte kept pulling chocolate-covered funny faces at Zach - who thought it was hilarious. No-one can make him laugh like his sister can!

dress rehersal

Trying on the potential party outfit. Although we have tiger costumes and lizard tails, Bronte will likely end up a butterfly.

Birthday girl!

Bronte woke to a present on the doorstep from the neighbours

and then got to go to school with Zoe. At school, the shared the cupcakes she helped decorate with pink and green icing!

Thankfully, Bronte has now reverted to her usual gorgeous self and the issues of the previous month are hopefully a forgotten phase! She is an excellent big sister - not only to Zach, but also to Xavier when he was out and neighbour Olivier (16 mths). She negotiates on treats and bedtimes, and has started to say "So..." when asking for something / being cheeky. She has been sleeping by herself in her room most nights now - nearly there!

Kite!

Though it was a $2 purchase, and mum tied the string incorrectly, Bronte really enjoyed her first kite flying experience

By the River

Bronte LOVES the river - and the lack of waves - and happily runs into the deep. Unfortunately, the midges were out so we headed to the beach.

The "Ava Look" angels

Cruisin' for a bruisin'

Mothers' day breakfast

Zach and Bronte gave mum an early mothers day present by sleeping really well through the night. The dads then pulled out the below breakfast

which was accompanied by wonderful hugs
