Off for more cave adventures
Off to a 1.6km self-guided cave tour - Bronte strode confidently through the large caverns and the closed in spaces. Tony and I, well, we moved quickly through some of those narrower sections. Another amazing piece of nature.

Yarrangobilly caves house
We stayed at the Yarrangabilly caves house. Located 6km off the snowy mountain highway, it was originally built in the late 1800's and refurbished recently to this wonderful accommodation, complete with several caves, kangaroos, a platypus-filled river, and thermal pool. We arrived in time for our private cave tour by Ranger Ian, who was an instant hit with the kids. Though Zach still believes that five people fell down the deep hole while replacing the lights...
Drive to the snow
The drive through the snowy mountains was spectacular, and very Australian, with Brumbies and kangaroos spotted.
First touch of snow!

Down to Canberra and the snow
Sorting out all the snow clothes.
Instant friends with Brigid and Sasha as we spent a lovely day (and night) with Emma and Brian.
A visit to the war memorial
The view from Mt Ainslie, where an echidna wandered across the road on the way back home.
