Up at Redcliffe.
Redcliffe has always invoked memories of no fish, no surf, pretty boring. But with kids you get a whole new perspective of the delights it has to offer. Along with Mel, we went for a family bike ride to Settlement Cove - a huge lagoon and playground area on the foreshore. A great fun morning, and both kids fell asleep on the way home. Perfect.

Make n break
Aunty Catriona gave us this great game "Make N Break" - where the aim is to replicate patterns using blocks. Appropriate for all members of the family, but Bronte has taken a particular liking to it (and is very good at it).

Zach and Liv
Zach and neighbour Olivia are developing a very strong friendship. She bosses him - he does whatever she says. Both are happy playing together for a very long time.

The home celebrations
Zach scored this year with lots of wonderful presents, including this digger. He also got a bunch of pink and purple balloons (his favourite colours), coupled with a dinosaur balloon. A somewhat different mix than what most people were getting for valentines day. Bronte gave him a car money box that she picked out herself. When I asked if she liked it, she replied "Well, I don't really like it, but I think Zach will, and it is his present" (he loved it).
The kindy celebration
A good thing about going to school on your birthday is that you get to have another cake - this was a late night effort at a hungry caterpillar cake: just that tiny bit more exciting than just cupcakes. Apparently Zach had a fantastic day - including a mammoth 3.5hr sleep.
